1. The Clinical Challenge
In the field of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART), determining the biological age of the ovaries and the correct drug dosage highly depends on the Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) level. Manually calculating and interpreting AMH to predict pregnancy chances and determine the rFSH starting dose requires time, is prone to interpretational variability, and needs to be done quickly. The primary need was a reference guide for physicians when consulting with patients with infertility disorders.
2. The Incode Online Solution
Incode Online was entrusted by Prof. Dr. dr. Budi Wiweko, Sp.OG(K), MPH to develop the Indonesian Kalkulator of Oocytes (IKO), a smart application built based on research results that won the FKUI Best Scientific Paper in 2011. The application automates several complex predictive algorithms and clinical calculations:
- Biological Age Prediction: The application can determine the patient’s biological age by entering the AMH level.
- rFSH Dose Prediction: The application provides a recommendation for the necessary rFSH starting dose by entering the patient’s age and AMH level.
- Mature Oocyte Prediction: The application predicts the number of mature oocytes obtainable by entering age, Antral Follicle Count (AFC), and AMH level.
3. Measurable Results (Precision & Decision Support)
IKO successfully integrated cutting-edge scientific research into a fast and precise point-of-care diagnostic tool.
| Performance Metric | Before Intervention (Manual) | After Intervention (Automated) | Key Impact |
| Biological Age Calculation Time | Required Lab Data Interpretation | Instant | Accelerated Patient Consultation |
| rFSH Dose Consistency | Dependent on Clinical Experience | Automated Algorithm-Based | Increased Treatment Protocol Standardization |
| Clinical Information Access | Limited to Literature | Available as a Medical Reference Guide | Enhanced Physician Confidence |
